Juan Lopez Cuban Cigars

Juan Lopez Diaz was an aspiring young entrepreneur in the 1870s who sought to make his fortune in the Cuban tobacco industry. He quickly established his own factory, Flor de Juan Lopez, and began blending a new breed of cuban cigars. His ideas inspired the creation of several brands: La Veneciana, El Marquez de Caixas, La Mandolita, Transcontinental and, of course, his self-titled line of Juan Lopez Cuban cigars. Each cigar was considered a premier, first-class cigar in its own right, but none made such a splash as the Juan Lopez marque.
This local brand quickly became a favorite... only the truest aficionados knew of the prestigious Juan Lopez marque. Unfortunately, Juan Lopez Diaz passed away in the early 20th century not long after establishing his factory and control of his tobacco line went to his heirs. Sadly, the Juan Lopez legacy would not remain in the family for long and was sold only one decade later to the Sociedad C. Del Peso y Cía in 1918.
Today, only a limited amount of the famous Juan Lopez vitolas is produced. Juan Lopez cigars are still, and will always be considered first-class stogies, manufactured in the town of Guira de Melena. These are still a brand favored by serious aficionados, and as Juan Lopez cigars are now only available in small quantities they have become an exquisite rarity, indeed. Medium to strong, light and aromatic, the Juan Lopez line of Cuban cigars is uniquely sophisticated and very easy to fall in love with.
