El Rey del Mundo Cuban Cigars

In 1842 two businessmen and friends had a vision; conceived by Sancho Panza and Emilio Ohmstedt, a cigar was blended to rival all others in terms of its quality, taste and smokeability. Forty years later this premium cigar made it to the desk of the Spanish tobacco entrepeneur Antonio Allones. Recognizing the immediate potential of the incredibly refined blend, the cigar was incorporated into the Allones factory in Havana and dubbed the El Rey Del Mundo, “the king of the world”.
So, does the quality match the name? You bet! El Rey Del Mundo Cuban cigars are exquisitely crafted to perfection by veteran torcedores. Under the direction of Antonia Allones, El Rey Del Mundo quickly found an established niche among choice aficionados.
In 1905 the Allones factory sold the brand, which they had single-handedly turned into an icon worldwide, to the Diaz y Hermanos factory. Backed by their symbol of a Taino Indian, the original torcedores, it was clear no cigar could be backed my more skill or experience than an El Rey Del Mundo Cuban.
Eventually, the popularity of the cigar forced Diaz y Hermanos to rebrand their factory after their greatest seller; Rey Del Mundo Cigar was the official name chosen. Today the El Rey Del Mundo has lost some popularity as most aficionados crave the strength of other names, but still these cigars are as elegant and refined as they come. Featuring a milder draw throughout the line with plenty of complex flavors to savor, El Rey Del Mundos are a cigar both aficionados and novice smokers alike can appreciate.
