Sancho Panza Cuban Cigars

The name was first used for a Habano in 1848 and has since enjoyed a reputation for quality. It was first registered by Don Emilio Ohmsted and after his death in the 1880s, the factory was bought by Ramón Allones and H. Upmann. They preserved the brand’s quality and in 1940 it was registered under the name Rey del Mundo Cigar Company. As in other great Habano brands, Sancho Panza Cuban Cigars takes its name from a masterpiece of world literature. In Don Quixote, the famous seventeenth-century Spanish novel by Miguel de Cervantes, it was Sancho Panza who was the faithful squire of the errant knight. The Sancho Panza brand uses a medium-bodied blend of tobaccos from the Vuelta Abajo region. All sizes are totally handmade, long filler. They include an example of the largest Habano available, a 235 millimetre Gran Corona which goes by the name of Sancho. The brand is mainly sold in Spain, the Caribbean, Canada, Mexico, Africa, the Middle East, Switzerland and the Far East. It is perhaps not as well-known as some of its rivals, but it is a top-quality brand with a long history. It is quite rare and not easy to find these days. Sancho Panza will appeal to both connoisseurs and beginners, with generally mild flavors and elegant aromas. They are medium-bodied with a grassy flavor. The Sancho Panza cuban cigars have a rather strong and dark character. The leaves are matured using a longer process than usual, making the wrappers darker and thinner in texture than in other cuban cigars. An ideal daytime cigar and many recommend that Sancho Panza are aged a little in order to allow their flavors to fully develop.
